Operation HIP Springfield

During the fall of 2022, I took a class called ENGL 379: Introduction to Professional Writing. Personally, I wouldn’t really consider myself to be a “professional writer,” but I’m still learning and growing, and I think part of that process is laying a benchmark of where you are in the writing process. So, as a means of laying that benchmark, I want to share my final project for ENGL 379 which was a Mock Grant Proposal.

The assignment was compose a grant proposal to a foundation on behalf of a nonprofit organization; so, since I already work for a nonprofit organization, I decided to draft a grant proposal for Gardening the Community. Below is my proposal entitled Operation HIP Springfield: A Grant Proposal Seeking Funding from the The U.S. Department of Agriculture to Increase HIP Customers at Gardening the Community in Springfield, MA.
